Description

In order to achieve the highest efficiency of the polishing process, it is most important and necessary to keep the grinding wheel in the best condition. The grinding wheel is the tool in direct contact with the samples to be polished, so it is necessary to keep the grinding wheel as clean and as flat as possible.

The surface flatness meter is the most effective tool for accurately measuring the flatness of the grinding wheel surface to help keep the surface of the sample grinding and polishing equipment in the best working condition. Highly durable products withstand the rigors of production environments and resist corrosion

Why use flatness gauge when polishing?

The flatness of the samples after the flat grinding process will reflect the quality of the polished surface. If the polishing disc is not flat (it may be convex or concave), it will result in concave and convex samples that can damage the sample and become unusable. Especially for mold polishing, the molds need to be polished with high value, if the surface is not flat, it will cause great damage and impact. In addition, the surface of the grinding wheel is deviated, causing the risk of breakage, the grinding wheel is likely to cause severe damage to the equipment and the user. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically check the flatness of the polishing disc's surface

How to use a flatness meter to measure the surface of the grinding wheel

  1. Place the gauge on the surface of the grinding wheel and watch the value displayed on the gauge
  2. Checking the value on the meter will have three cases:
  3. If the surface is completely flat: the measuring needle will be at the 0° . mark
  4. If the surface is concave: the measuring needle will be on the negative side
  5. If the surface is convex: the measuring needle will be deflected to the positive part
