Data is being updated
In-plant acoustic measurement involves a variety of activities, in this particular case measuring work area noise to see if the noise is within acceptable limits. Currently, a number of countries around the world have applied laws to ensure that the workplace noise does not exceed the threshold to protect the health of workers
This is a fairly simple application, you can set up a test model as follows
STT | Model | Producer | Note |
1 | Nor103 | Nor103 Sound Level Meter (*recommended) | With memory, no interface |
2 | Nor131/132 | Sound level meter and frequency analyzer Nor131/132 | With memory, communication via USB |
3 | Tripod | Tripod | Keep it fixed at the location where the machine is located |
4 | Accuracy | Class 1 hoặc Class 2 | Class is measurable but Class 1 is recommended for accuracy |
Industrial noise measurement steps
In manufacturing plants, to perform a normal sound measurement will be divided into two measurements as follows
- Measurement A: Taken in the worker's work area where the sound level is uniformly distributed , place the sound level meter on the Tripod at the level of 1.2m to 1.5m from the floor at the intersection points on the working floor surface (minimum 5 points). Regarding the division, you will divide the floor surface into equal intervals with a size of 6m or less refer to the picture below for better understanding. Then measure the average Leq over time, at each point measuring within 10 minutes
- Measurement B: Measure at the work area near the noise source to see how loud the sound directly affects the workers. Place the sound level meter on the nodes closest to the noise source. Then, measure the time-averaged Leq at each point within 10 minutes
- Analyze measurement results: If your device does not have a built-in PC software, record the measurement results carefully after each test, if your noise meter has USB or RS-232 communication ports. To store data directly on PC, it helps a lot for analysis and the collected data will be in the software and easy to analyze and compare.
